Business leaders and innovators gathered in Ljubljana on Friday for a roadshow focusing on ‘Slovenia–India: Strategic Partnership in Technology and Business’. The event aimed to enhance collaboration between the two countries.
The curtain-raiser roadshow, organized by the Embassy in partnership with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Slovenia, facilitated discussions on fostering business ties between Slovenia and India. It also paved the way for the establishment of a ‘Slovenia-India Business Council’ to strengthen bilateral relations in the context of the India-European Union Free Trade Agreement.
The 10th Session of the India–Slovenia Joint Committee on Trade and Economic Cooperation recently took place in New Delhi. The discussions, led by officials from both countries, focused on reviewing the global economic landscape and exploring sectoral cooperation in various fields.
Both India and Slovenia expressed optimism for the early finalization of a mutually beneficial India–EU Free Trade Agreement. The strategic location of Slovenia in Central Europe, combined with India’s increasing engagement with Europe, offers a unique opportunity for enhanced cooperation in trade, technology, and innovation.
