The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has approved the release of director R J Balaji’s action thriller ‘Karuppu’, starring actor Suriya, with a U/A certificate. The film is set to hit screens worldwide on May 14 this year. Dream Warrior Pictures, the film’s production house, announced the certification on its social media platform.
Excitement has surged among fans and movie enthusiasts for ‘Karuppu’. The teaser released on Suriya’s birthday last year further intensified the anticipation for the film. The teaser introduces Suriya’s character as a lawyer named Saravanan, also known as Karuppu, and hints at a film filled with action sequences and powerful dialogues.
Apart from Suriya, the film stars actress Trisha in a prominent role. It also features Malayalam actors Indrans, Sshivada, Swasika, Tamil actors Yogi Babu, and cinematographer Natty in key roles. The movie boasts music by Sai Abhyankkar and cinematography by GK Vishnu, known for his work in popular films like ‘Bigil’ and ‘Mersal’.
With R Kalaivanan as the editor, Vikram Mor choreographing stunts, and Arun Venjaramoodu as the art director, ‘Karuppu’ promises to be a commercial entertainer packed with action and drama.
