The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has approved the release of director H Vinoth’s film ‘Jana Nayagan’, marking Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Vijay’s final acting role, with an ‘A’ certificate. The movie, eagerly anticipated by fans, is set to hit screens soon. Well-known producer Dhananjheyan shared the Censor certificate on social media, expressing relief at the film’s clearance.
While an official release date is yet to be announced by KVN Productions, industry sources suggest that ‘Jana Nayagan’ is likely to premiere on July 24. Earlier reports had hinted at a resolution regarding the Censor Board clearance, indicating a potential July release. The film, initially slated for a Pongal release, faced delays after being referred to a Revising Committee under Cinematograph Rules.
‘Jana Nayagan’, directed by H. Vinoth, features a star-studded cast including Vijay, Bobby Deol, Pooja Hegde, and Prakash Raj. KVN Productions had previously postponed the film’s release due to unforeseen circumstances, expressing understanding for fans’ anticipation and promising a new release date announcement soon.
