A Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) team from Delhi, along with officials from the Nagpur unit, interrogated three candidates in Nagpur regarding the alleged NEET-UG 2026 examination paper leak. The candidates, linked to the matter, are from Maharashtra’s Vidarbha region. Two candidates are from Nagpur, while the third hails from Brahmapuri in Chandrapur district.
The CBI teams conducted search operations at the candidates’ residences to gather evidence and verify details related to the NEET exam paper leak case. The central agency is currently questioning the candidates but has not made any detentions or arrests in the case yet.
The CBI’s investigation is part of a broader probe into alleged irregularities and paper leak accusations surrounding the NEET examination. The case was registered by the CBI on May 12 based on a complaint from the Department of Higher Education under the Union Ministry of Education.
Multiple leads are being pursued by the CBI across various states to uncover those involved in the suspected malpractice network during the NEET examination. The agency has seized incriminating documents, laptops, and mobile phones from multiple locations nationwide for forensic analysis.
