Amid efforts to address issues on its answer-book evaluation portal, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) rejected allegations from a social media user regarding the compromise of the On Screen Marking (OSM) system. The Board clarified that there have been no security breaches reported.
The CBSE reassured students about the robust measures in place to safeguard the platform’s integrity. It stated that the URL mentioned in the social media post for OSM was a testing site with sample data for internal review, not the actual evaluation portal.
Highlighting the transparency and grievance redressal mechanisms of the system, the Board emphasized that the actual evaluation work portal remains secure with no vulnerabilities identified. Congress General Secretary K.C. Venugopal raised concerns about discrepancies in the OSM system and urged for a one-time resolution for affected students.
Venugopal criticized the government’s handling of secondary education exams, citing issues with CBSE results and the imposition of high re-evaluation fees on students. He called for accountability in light of the errors and disruptions caused by the digital evaluation process.
