President of the Central African Republic, Faustin-Archange Touadera, has signed a decree to establish a new government. The decree includes the appointment or retention of four ministers of state, 26 ministers, and two minister delegates based on the Prime Minister’s proposal. Notable appointments include Arnaud Djoubaye Abazene as minister of state for justice, human rights promotion, and good governance, and Aurelien Simplice Zingas as minister of state for national education.
Several existing government members, such as Sylvie Baipo Temon, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Francophonie and Central Africans Abroad, and Herve Ndoba, Minister of Finance and Budget, have retained their positions. Additionally, Arthur Bertrand Piri has been appointed Minister of State for Equipment and Public Works, and Evariste Ngamana, spokesperson for the ruling party United Hearts Movement, is now the minister of state for communication and media and government spokesperson.
The newly formed government in the Central African Republic has been tasked with advancing development and strengthening peace initiatives in the conflict-affected nation. This decree follows the reappointment of Felix Moloua as Prime Minister, which occurred six days prior. President Faustin-Archange Touadera began his new seven-year term after winning the December 28, 2025, presidential election with 77.9% of the vote.
Felix Moloua, the reappointed Prime Minister, is the first head of government under the country’s “Seventh Republic.” Initially appointed in 2022, Moloua has been in office since then, previously serving as the minister of planning, economy, and cooperation. Faustin-Archange Touadera, aged 68, has been the president since 2016 and is now entering his third term.
