Irshad Ahmed, a resident of Gaurela village in Chhattisgarh, is overjoyed to finally have her own pucca house after years of longing. This dream turned into reality through the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY), offering her a new beginning and opportunities. Under the PMAY, she was allotted a housing unit last year, and now, after its completion, she has received the house.
The PMAY has been a beacon of hope for Irshad, who previously lived in a mud house due to financial constraints. The leaking roof during the rainy season brought immense difficulties to her family. Discovering the PM Awas Yojana through social media, she decided to benefit from it. Irshad expressed her gratitude to PM Modi, acknowledging that without this scheme, her dream of a permanent home would have remained unfulfilled.
Nazreen Fatima, Irshad’s sister, shared their past struggles living in a kaccha house, enduring hardships and health risks during the rainy season. With the new permanent house provided by PMAY, they now live happily without any problems. The sisters expressed heartfelt thanks to PM Modi for this life-changing opportunity.
