A tragic road accident in Madhya Pradesh’s Chhindwara district claimed the lives of 10 people, including children and women, with over 30 others injured. Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, who arrived from Delhi, met the families of the deceased in Karer village, offering condolences and assuring government support.
Chief Minister Yadav, sitting with grieving family members, expressed sorrow over the loss of lives and pledged full government assistance during this difficult time. He announced financial aid of Rs 4 lakh for each deceased person’s family and Rs 1 lakh for those with serious injuries receiving treatment.
Additionally, CM Yadav promised free top-notch medical care for all injured individuals, with a team of senior doctors, including surgeons from Jabalpur, already on-site. BJP leader Rakesh Singh oversaw treatment arrangements at the district hospital, ensuring comprehensive care for every accident victim.
The accident occurred when a bus, returning from a government program, collided head-on with a pickup truck while overtaking another vehicle. Investigations indicate that speed and negligence during the overtaking attempt were the primary causes of the tragic incident.
