In response to the cruise accident at Bargi in Madhya Pradesh’s Jabalpur, Chief Minister Mohan Yadav has initiated strict measures to hold accountable those deemed responsible. Cruise Pilot Mahesh Patel, Cruise Helper Chhotelal Gond, and Ticket Counter In-Charge Brijendra have been immediately dismissed for negligence. Sunil Maravi, Manager of Hotel Maikal Resort and Boat Club Bargi, has been suspended, while Regional Manager Sanjay Malhotra faces an inquiry.
The Chief Minister has vowed that all individuals involved in the incident will face consequences. He extended heartfelt condolences to the victims’ families and assured full support from the administration. This action underscores the government’s commitment to ensuring responsibility and preventing future tragedies.
The swift response to the Bargi accident has raised concerns about safety standards and management practices in the state. Stringent actions will be taken against those at fault to prevent future mishaps, with a new oversight mechanism for cruise operations to be established for maintaining safety standards.
