Chief Minister V.D. Satheesan of Kerala reassured the public of his accessibility, debunking claims of being unreachable. He stated that his office welcomes anyone seeking to meet him, ensuring no one leaves disappointed. Satheesan addressed various issues during a post-Cabinet media briefing, including measures against ragging, support for the coir sector, and criticism of the Delhi Police’s handling of a Congress protest.
Satheesan mentioned resolving differences with the Kerala Students’ Union through discussions where both parties shared their perspectives. He highlighted the launch of the ‘Siddharth Distress App’ to combat ragging in educational institutions, allowing students to report incidents confidentially.

Additionally, Satheesan condemned the Delhi Police’s treatment of Congress leaders during a recent protest, labeling it as police brutality and expressing solidarity with the protesters.
The Chief Minister also addressed the Wakf Board controversy, accusing the Leader of Opposition of distorting facts to create communal tensions. He clarified the government’s adherence to the law in reconstituting the Wakf Board and criticized the opposition for disregarding facts to stoke communal discord.
