The Chief Minister’s ‘Yuva Udyami Vikas Abhiyan’ in Uttar Pradesh, aiming to provide self-employment opportunities for 1 lakh youth annually, is showing positive outcomes, attracting attention. Jobless youth are utilizing the program, embarking on entrepreneurial ventures with financial aid from the state government.
One success story is Mujahid Sheikh from Lakhimpur Kheri, who overcame depression, financial struggles, and social challenges to establish a growing enterprise with support from the UP government’s initiative. Hailing from an agricultural background, Mujahid, previously dependent on farming, was concerned about his children’s future. With counseling and government backing, he not only conquered his mental health battles but also launched his own business.
Benefiting from a collateral-free, interest-free loan, Mujahid established a digital marketing agency, assisting offline businesses to transition online. This move led to the creation of a digital services hub in the village, aligning with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘Digital India’ vision. Additionally, he acquired a Thyrocare franchise and completed a phlebotomy course, offering blood sample collection services in the village.
Mujahid’s business has flourished, providing over 400 services and earning trust within the community. Through his firm, MSO Enterprises, he now offers franchises, expanding his income streams. Furthermore, he educates people on digital services and government schemes via a YouTube channel.
Mujahid credits Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath for his success, acknowledging the government’s belief in his capabilities. He also appreciates Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Digital India initiative for bringing new opportunities to rural areas. Currently, he advocates for the ‘Chief Minister’s Yuva Udyami Vikas Abhiyan’ to help more young individuals in need.
