Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Dinesh K. Tripathi visited the National Cadet Corps (NCC) Republic Day Camp 2026, encouraging participants to uphold unity, discipline, and integrity for the nation. NCC cadets from Army, Navy, and Air Force wings welcomed him with a Guard of Honour. Admiral Tripathi praised NCC for instilling values of patriotism, discipline, and social responsibility in youth.
Admiral Tripathi commended NCC cadets for their civil defense efforts during Operation Sindoor, with nearly 72,000 cadets making exemplary contributions. He also appreciated NCC’s innovative training methods, including initiatives on drone operations and cyber awareness. Quoting Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Admiral Tripathi emphasized India’s youth as a force for global good and expressed confidence in their ability to shape ‘Viksit Bharat’ by 2047.
Recalling his own NCC days, Admiral Tripathi congratulated cadets on their selection for the Republic Day Camp. He praised their parade turnout, precision drill, band performance, and cultural presentation, lauding them with a “Bravo Zulu” in naval terms. Sharing life lessons, he advised cadets on self-discipline, continuous learning, courage in challenges, teamwork, and perseverance. Admiral Tripathi reaffirmed the Indian Navy’s commitment to supporting NCC cadets through various training initiatives and exposures.
