Hyderabad, Feb 11 – Mega star Chiranjeevi shared a heartfelt note on Wednesday, recalling the significance of February 11 as the day he faced the camera for his debut film ‘Punadhirallu’. Posting black and white pictures from the 1979 film’s sets, he expressed gratitude to the director, producer, and audiences for the opportunity and support.
Chiranjeevi described the mix of joy, excitement, and responsibility he felt on that memorable day, emphasizing that the experience remains vivid in his memory even after all these years. He likened the moment to a beautiful full moon story, highlighting the profound impact it had on his acting journey.
Acknowledging the pivotal role played by the director and producer of ‘Punadhirallu’ in shaping his career, Chiranjeevi expressed deep appreciation for their trust and encouragement. He also extended thanks to his fans and audience members for their unwavering support throughout his acting career.
The 1979 film ‘Punadhirallu’, directed by Gudapati Rajkumar and produced by Kranthi Kumar, marked Chiranjeevi’s first on-set experience, although ‘Pranam Khareedu’ was his debut release. Notably, ‘Punadhirallu’ received two Nandi Awards, with the film itself winning the Best Feature Film award and actor Gokina Rama Rao being honored with the Best Actor Award for his performance.
