The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) has partnered with the Ministry of Ayush to enhance Ayush-based preventive healthcare, wellness, yoga, and stress management for its personnel. This collaboration aims to offer Ayush-based services to promote well-being among CISF personnel and their families. The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed between the two organizations will focus on initiatives like yoga practices, lifestyle management, and holistic healthcare through Ayush systems.
The agreement, signed by Dr. A. Raghu from the Ministry of Ayush and Pratibha Agarwal from CISF Headquarters in New Delhi, will be effective for five years. Key areas of focus include awareness programs, wellness interventions, and the potential provision of Ayush OPD-level services at CISF establishments. The Ministry of Ayush will provide technical support and develop wellness modules, while CISF will ensure the implementation of these initiatives across its units.
This partnership signifies a significant move towards integrating traditional medicine systems into the daily routines of security personnel, aiming to enhance their health, resilience, and overall quality of life. Additionally, the Ministry of Ayush had previously partnered with WHO to develop a Traditional Medicine module within the International Classification of Health Interventions (ICHI) to promote Ayurveda, Siddha, and Unani (ASU) systems globally.
