Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis stressed the importance of developing a highly skilled workforce to achieve India’s ‘Vishwa-Guru’ and Viksit Bharat @ 2047 vision. Speaking at the Y4D conclave, he highlighted the necessity of equipping youth with modern skills in the era of technologies like AI and Quantum Computing. Fadnavis credited Prime Minister Narendra Modi for India’s economic growth, ranking as the world’s fourth-largest economy and aiming for the third spot.
Reiterating Maharashtra’s goal of a USD 1 trillion economy, Fadnavis underlined the crucial role of skill development. He emphasized the need for quality training to leverage the state’s demographic dividend for economic progress. Fadnavis also mentioned ‘Mahavistar,’ an AI-driven app aiding farmers with real-time updates on crop management, weather forecasts, and more in multiple languages, thus empowering grassroots farmers with technology.
Fadnavis warned about the imminent transformation of 70% of jobs in the next 1,000 days, calling for a collaborative effort among government, industries, and organizations to equip youth with relevant skills. He praised CSR initiatives in sectors like water security and healthcare, lauding the Y4D foundation for its impactful work over the past 11 years. Fadnavis appreciated Y4D’s innovative ‘Impact Report’ approach, urging other CSR partners to follow suit for measurable societal change.
