Composer Mithoon shared insights on the first track, “Ve Junoon,” from ‘Awarapan 2,’ highlighting the significance of singer Subodh’s voice in conveying the song’s emotions. The choice of Subodh was driven by the honesty and emotional depth in his voice, aligning perfectly with the essence of the music. The collaboration between Mithoon, Vishesh, and Quadri Sahab aimed to capture complex emotions in a simple and personal manner.

The track ‘Ve Junoon’ required a voice that could portray pain, vulnerability, and strength, qualities found in Subodh’s singing. Subodhh Sharma, a sound engineer for over 12 years, caught the attention of Vishesh Bhatt through an Instagram reel showcasing his vocal talent. The emotional resonance of the music in ‘Awarapan 2’ is attributed to Mithoon’s musical instinct and Sayeed Quadri’s poetic prowess, enhanced by Subodhh’s unique and raw voice.

The film’s producer, Vishesh Bhatt, emphasized the significance of music in ‘Awarapan,’ considering it the emotional memory of a generation. The team aimed to recreate this magic in ‘Awarapan 2’ by combining Mithoon’s musical creativity and Sayeed Quadri’s lyrical finesse. ‘Ve Junoon’ symbolizes a pivotal emotional moment for the character Shivam Pandit, reflecting his inner struggles and doubts about love.

The first track, “Ve Junoon,” from ‘Awarapan 2,’ has been released by Vishesh Films and Sony Music India. Composed by Mithoon, with lyrics by Sayeed Quadri and vocals by Subodhh Sharma, the song captures the essence of Shivam Pandit’s emotional journey. The movie, directed by Nitin Kakkar and starring Emraan Hashmi, Disha Patani, Shabana Azmi, and others, is scheduled for a theatrical release on August 14, 2026.
