The disappearance of a 29-year-old woman who traveled to a wedding has raised concerns in Karnataka’s Hassan district. The missing woman, identified as Priyanka from Tumakuru district, was last seen near the Belur bus stand on February 12. Her personal items, including clothes and a vanity bag, were found at different locations, prompting a police investigation.
Police suspect that Priyanka, who was reportedly wearing gold jewelry worth Rs 30 lakh, may have been abducted. Her family mentioned she made a distressing call before her disappearance, and her phone was later found switched off. The discovery of her belongings near Kalkere has intensified the search efforts to locate her.
Authorities have registered a case and are actively searching for the missing woman. Priyanka’s family has criticized the police for their delayed response and believes that prompt action could have aided in finding her sooner.
