Confident Group Founder C.J. Roy Allegedly Commits Suicide in Bengaluru Office

Confident Group Founder and Chairman C.J. Roy reportedly took his own life at his Bengaluru office. The suicide occurred during an IT raid, with investigations ongoing to determine the motive. The incident took place at his property on Longford Road in Bengaluru under the Ashoknagar police station limits.

Bengaluru Police Commissioner Seemanth Kumar Singh confirmed the incident, stating that a case has been registered. Roy’s body was moved to Narayana Hospital in HSR Layout for further procedures. The police are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the suicide, including the ongoing IT questioning at Roy’s office.

Singh mentioned that the police are in the process of contacting Roy’s family members, who are expected to arrive in Bengaluru soon. The Police Commissioner emphasized that the focus remains on gathering relevant information and investigating all aspects of the case. Preliminary reports indicate that Roy shot himself in his office chamber during the IT raid.

Police sources revealed that Roy was alone in his office chamber when he shot himself in the chest. Following the gunshot, IT officials present rushed to his aid and transported him to the hospital. The investigation also includes questioning the IT officers involved in the raid and analyzing CCTV footage from the premises.
