The All India Congress Committee (AICC) has named six National Coordinators for the All India Adivasi Congress, in a move to strengthen and organize tribal communities across the country. This decision, endorsed by Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge, coincides with state-level appointments, indicating a comprehensive restructuring of the party’s tribal outreach division.
As per an official statement released by AICC General Secretary K.C. Venugopal, the newly appointed National Coordinators are Ritu Meena, Narayan Singh Patta, Panchilal Meda, R.A. Inqalavi, Sajjad Tariq, and Yogesh Kumar Meena. These appointments are aimed at providing enhanced central leadership to the All India Adivasi Congress, facilitating better alignment between national policies and their implementation at the state level.
The All India Adivasi Congress serves as the specialized tribal arm of the Indian National Congress, with a focus on protecting the rights and welfare of Scheduled Tribes throughout India. The National Coordinators will have a pivotal role in devising strategies for tribal well-being, overseeing the execution of government programs, and addressing issues like forest rights, land acquisition, and access to education and healthcare for Adivasi communities.
