Stirring controversy, a Congress leader supported the recent shirtless protest by party youth members at the AI Impact Summit. Justifying the naked demonstration at Bharat Mandapam, the leader issued a challenge to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The BJP responded strongly, criticizing the Congress leader for his aggressive remarks and condemning the party’s behavior towards the Prime Minister.

Congress leader Brinder Singh Dhillon, accompanied by party workers, expressed discontent over punitive actions against IYC members for their protest. He called on party members to intensify their resistance against the government’s efforts to suppress their voices. Dhillon’s provocative statement challenging PM Modi further escalated tensions between the two parties.

In his address, Dhillon urged party members to stand firm against intimidation and arrests, emphasizing the need to resist the government’s pressure tactics. The BJP condemned the Congress leader for justifying the shirtless protest, accusing him of tarnishing India’s reputation on the global stage. BJP spokesperson Pradeep Bhandari criticized the Congress party for its contradictory actions and statements, highlighting the impact on national unity.

Shehzad Poonawala also criticized the Congress leader for his abusive language towards the Prime Minister, labeling it as a direct threat. Poonawala emphasized that such behavior reflects a dangerous mindset within the party and pointed out previous instances of derogatory remarks against PM Modi and his family.
