Congress leader Meenakshi Natarajan stated that despite the Supreme Court’s refusal to intervene in the rejection of her Rajya Sabha nomination from Madhya Pradesh, the party remains committed to pursuing justice. The court emphasized that the Election Commission is the appropriate authority for such matters and did not provide relief to Natarajan.

Natarajan affirmed the party’s determination, highlighting the importance of public opinion in a democracy. She expressed disappointment with the Election Commission’s silence on the issue and indicated readiness to escalate the matter further.

While refraining from directly criticizing the Supreme Court’s decision, Natarajan emphasized the party’s unity and resolve to continue the legal battle through various platforms. She criticized the alleged favoritism in candidate nominations and raised concerns about the impact on democratic principles.
