Congress MP Gaurav Gogoi criticized the BJP-led Centre for neglecting rising prices and economic worries, accusing the government of evading inflation queries while diverting attention to other matters. Gogoi highlighted that citizens nationwide are increasingly anxious about their financial future and the escalating living costs. He emphasized the pressing issues of inflation, fuel rates, and household expenses dominating public discourse.
Gogoi urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to address the concerns affecting ordinary people, especially regarding the prices of LPG cylinders and petroleum products. He stressed the need for clarity on when LPG and petrol prices would decrease and what steps are being taken to manage inflation effectively. The Congress leader expressed public unease over economic conditions and criticized the government for not providing satisfactory responses on critical livelihood matters.
The MP raised worries about the Indian currency’s value and global economic trends, demanding more transparency from the government. Gogoi accused the BJP of sidestepping economic concerns by creating diversions and shifting the focus from essential economic issues. He pointed out that public conversations revolve around inflation, employment, household expenses, and financial stability, urging the government to address these pressing questions.
Gogoi accused the BJP of prioritizing political narratives over governance and economic stewardship, vowing that the opposition would persist in highlighting price hikes and the financial struggles faced by ordinary citizens. He affirmed that the Congress would persist in drawing attention to public worries and holding the Centre accountable for inflation and the soaring prices of essential goods. The MP stressed that alleviating economic distress should be the government’s primary focus, considering the challenges many families face due to mounting expenses.
