The Congress party has called on Prime Minister Narendra Modi to take responsibility for the issues uncovered by Class 12 students regarding CBSE’s On-screen Marking system. Pawan Khera, Chairman of the AICC’s Media and Publicity Department, criticized the government’s handling of education, citing various failures and compromises in the system. Khera demanded the resignation of Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan over what he termed as a significant institutional breakdown in India’s education sector.
The Congress leader highlighted technical errors in the CBSE revaluation portal, such as blurred answer sheets and incomplete digitization, as evidence of a systemic failure. He raised questions about the decision-making process behind the implementation of the digital evaluation system and the awarding of contracts. Khera also pointed out concerns regarding the selection of a specific vendor for scanning answer sheets and questioned their ties to the ruling party.
Khera accused the government of undermining the credibility of various exams and educational institutions, leading to chaos in the education system. He challenged PM Modi to address these issues and ensure accountability for the failures that have plagued India’s youth under the BJP’s governance.
