A Congress party worker lost his life during a violent clash between groups associated with Congress MLA Nara Bharat Reddy and BJP MLA Janardhana Reddy in Ballari city, Karnataka. Chief Minister Siddaramaiah mentioned that the man was accidentally hit by a bullet fired into the air during the conflict. He has initiated an investigation to determine the source of the bullet.
Siddaramaiah expressed concern over the incident and refrained from speaking to MLA Bharat Reddy. The Chief Minister emphasized the need to ascertain whether the bullet originated from a Congress or BJP leader’s revolver. Police have seized guns from private gunmen on both sides and are investigating the matter further.
The clash stemmed from a dispute over a banner installation, leading to the registration of multiple cases, including one related to the Congress worker’s death. Minister Zameer Ahmad Khan assured that appropriate action would be taken against those responsible for the tragic outcome. Tensions remain high in Ballari city following the unfortunate event.
