The convoy of Mokama MLA Anant Kumar Singh had a close call with a potential road accident while returning to Patna from a wedding in Badpur village. The incident occurred near the Sabnima petrol pump in the Athmalgola police station area of the Barh subdivision.
Travelling on a four-lane highway, a vehicle at the front of the convoy reportedly lost control and collided with a parked truck, setting off a chain-reaction collision involving several vehicles behind. Despite significant damage to four vehicles, the vehicle carrying Anant Singh managed to pass through unharmed.
Fortunately, there were no serious injuries among the convoy occupants, although the accident caused temporary panic and disruption at the site. After ensuring everyone’s safety, the convoy continued its journey towards Patna, with the most relieving aspect being the absence of major injuries or fatalities.
Authorities are set to investigate the circumstances surrounding the accident, focusing on the presence of the parked truck and the sequence of events leading to the multiple-vehicle collision.
