The CPI(M) has raised objections to the Congress campaign in Kerala, accusing the Congress leadership of harming opposition unity by claiming a deal between CPI(M) and BJP. CPI(M) General Secretary M.A. Baby highlighted that Congress leaders alleged an understanding between Pinarayi Vijayan and PM Modi during the Kerala polls.
The CPI(M) emphasized that the party’s alliance with BJP was baseless and detrimental to the unity against BJP. They pointed out their commitment to secularism and communal harmony by highlighting the absence of communal riots during the LDF rule in Kerala. The letter criticized Rahul Gandhi for urging action against Vijayan by the Enforcement Directorate.
Despite the tensions, CPI(M) assured cooperation with the INDIA Bloc and other opposition parties in Parliament against what they termed as the authoritarian policies of the Modi government. The party pledged to stand firm against attacks and distortions, emphasizing their commitment to the cause.
