Cyberabad and Malkajgiri police have prohibited the flying of drones, para-gliders, or remotely controlled micro-light aircraft on May 10 due to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s upcoming visit. The orders were issued by Cyberabad Police Commissioner M. Ramesh and Malkajgiri Deputy Commissioner of Police CH Sridhar to ensure tight security during the Prime Minister’s visit.
The restrictions cover specific areas, with the Prime Minister set to inaugurate Sindhu Hospital in Hitech City under the Cyberabad Police Commissionerate’s jurisdiction. The notifications, issued under Section 163 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, emphasize the ban on drones and similar devices over designated police station areas.
In light of the Prime Minister’s visit to Hyderabad for a public meeting at Parade Grounds, Begumpet, Malkajgiri Police have also imposed similar restrictions. The orders prohibit the flying of drones, para-gliders, and remotely controlled micro-light aircraft within the limits of Begumpet, Bowenpally, and Marredpally Police Stations on May 10. Citizens are urged to cooperate with the police to ensure public safety and security during the event.
