Defending champions Madhya Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, and hosts Odisha have secured spots in the semifinals of the Women’s National Cricket Tournament for the Blind 2026 after impressive performances in the quarterfinals. The tournament has now entered the crucial knockout stage, setting the stage for thrilling semifinal clashes scheduled for Wednesday.
The quarterfinal matches held in Bhubaneswar and Khordha showcased exceptional talent and competitive spirit among visually impaired women cricketers from various regions. Notably, Madhya Pradesh Women dominated at the Hitech Cricket Ground, posting 201/1 and restricting Maharashtra Women to 102/8 for a convincing 99-run victory.
In another standout match at KT Global School Ground, Khordha, Karnataka Women displayed dominance by scoring 262/4, leading to a comprehensive 134-run win over West Bengal Women who managed only 128/8. Meanwhile, Odisha Women excelled at the Hitech Cricket Ground, achieving a 61-run victory over Rajasthan Women after scoring 177/3 and limiting their opponents to 116/9.
Andhra Pradesh Women completed the semifinal lineup with a strong performance at KT Global School Ground, chasing down Gujarat Women’s 132/3 to reach 133/2 in just 13.5 overs, securing an eight-wicket win. The semifinals are set for January 21, 2026, at the Hitech Cricket Ground, Bhubaneswar, promising intense competition, fierce rivalries, and remarkable displays of talent.
