Siya Goyal and Chetan Chaudhary, accused in the murder case of Ketan Agarwal, were interrogated while facing each other. The two suspects, now in police custody for seven days, were questioned extensively until late night. Initially deemed accidental, Agarwal’s death was later identified as a planned murder allegedly orchestrated by Goyal and her supposed lover, Chaudhary.
Pune police have detained Neeraj Kumar, an individual associated with Chaudhary’s shop, for questioning regarding his suspected involvement in the murder. Investigations revealed that on the day of the crime, Chaudhary took Kumar’s phone to Lohagad Fort, leading authorities to suspect its use in contacting Goyal multiple times. Kumar had been working with Chaudhary for the past three years.
In a twist, Chaudhary’s father defended his son, claiming he was wrongly accused by Goyal. He mentioned being unaware of Goyal until recently and expressed disbelief in his son’s involvement. Similarly, a relative of the accused, Udaram Chaudhary, also vouched for his innocence, denying any knowledge of Siya until media reports surfaced.
On the other hand, Ketan Agarwal’s father expressed confidence in the legal system, emphasizing the need for swift and severe punishment for all involved, including Siya Goyal and Chetan Chaudhary. Agarwal, the son of a notable businessman, was engaged to Goyal with a grand wedding planned for November, involving extravagant arrangements.
Allegations suggest that while preparations for the wedding were ongoing, Goyal was romantically involved with Chaudhary, whom she met at a business event in 2025. Goyal, managing a bakery business, and Chaudhary, a trader in dry fruits, reportedly saw Agarwal as an impediment to their relationship, leading to a conspiracy to eliminate him.
