After his first official overseas trip, Delaware Governor Matt Meyer is optimistic about India’s economic growth benefiting his state. He emphasized building substantial relationships during his recent visit to India, focusing on investment and innovation opportunities. Meyer highlighted India’s significance as a hub for innovation, talent, and entrepreneurship.

During his trip to New Delhi, Mumbai, and Hyderabad, Governor Meyer aimed to attract investments, foster research collaborations, and position Delaware as an attractive destination for Indian companies seeking expansion in the US. The visit resulted in significant achievements, including agreements in clean energy and advanced manufacturing.

One notable outcome was a partnership between Hyderabad’s T-Hub and the Delaware Prosperity Partnership, facilitating collaboration between Indian and American companies. Meyer also emphasized the importance of democracies working together to create job opportunities and address global challenges. He commended India’s economic progress and expressed a desire for Delaware to be part of that growth trajectory.

Delaware, known for its corporate-friendly environment, aims to attract Indian businesses beyond legal incorporation. Meyer highlighted the state’s business-friendly ecosystem and the thriving Indian diaspora contributing to various sectors. He also stressed the need for policy changes to enhance investment opportunities between India and Delaware.
