The Delhi Assembly’s Winter Session is scheduled to start on January 5, 2026, as per the summoning order issued by Lt Governor V.K. Saxena. The session, summoned under the Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi Act, 1991, will convene at the Assembly Hall, Old Secretariat, Delhi-110054, at 2.00 p.m.
Legislative Assembly Secretary Ranjeet Singh has shared the L-G’s summons with all MLAs and officials, setting the commencement date for the Winter Session. The session is anticipated to run until at least January 8, with a possibility of extension by Speaker Vijender Gupta if necessary.
Delhi government sources have indicated that discussions during the session will cover Action Taken Reports related to the Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) reports. Additionally, topics such as the Electric Vehicle (EV) Policy and updates on various government initiatives are expected to be deliberated upon.
Speaker Vijender Gupta recently reviewed the status of action taken on reports by the Comptroller and Auditor General of India, emphasizing the need for proper responses to audit observations. The adoption of the Audit Para Monitoring System (APMS) in the Delhi Assembly has been highlighted as a significant move towards enhancing transparency and accountability in audit follow-up processes.
