The Delhi BJP criticized the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) for not acknowledging the efforts of firefighters and police officers who risk their lives during rescue operations. Delhi BJP Spokesperson Praveen Shankar Kapoor condemned AAP leaders, including Saurabh Bharadwaj, for their negative comments on the Fire Service’s response to incidents like the one in Malviya Nagar. Kapoor highlighted that despite challenges, firefighters and police personnel consistently reach accident sites promptly to save lives. He emphasized the dedication of these personnel, noting that during the recent incident in Hauz Rani, around 10 officers were injured while carrying out rescue operations.
The Delhi BJP spokesperson pointed out that AAP leader Bharadwaj has a history of blaming the Fire Service and local police administration for various incidents. Kapoor mentioned that despite infrastructure shortages, firefighters manage to reach accident sites on time, showcasing their commitment to public safety. He attributed the lack of equipment and infrastructure to years of corruption and mismanagement by the Congress and AAP governments. Kapoor called out Bharadwaj for making false claims and urged him to explain why the AAP government did not recruit any firefighters or purchase sufficient fire tenders during its tenure.
