Delhi BJP Vice President Dinesh Pratap Singh and Purvanchal Morcha President Santosh Ojha jointly criticized Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLA Sanjeev Jha for his remarks on the LPG supply situation in the city. The BJP leaders refuted Jha’s claims about migrants facing a crisis due to LPG shortages and potential loss of voting rights if they leave Delhi. They accused the AAP leader of making false statements for political advantage.
Ojha and Singh clarified that only a small number of migrants have left Delhi due to the gas scarcity. They highlighted the efforts of the BJP’s Ujjwala Scheme department, working with the Central and Delhi governments at the grassroots level to assist economically disadvantaged individuals in obtaining gas cylinders through proper channels.
The Delhi BJP emphasized that migrants from Purvanchal and other states in Delhi are valued members of the BJP community, and the party supports all legitimate voters. While acknowledging a slight gas shortage, they assured that regular supply is accessible upon booking. The leaders also mentioned that the gas deficit primarily impacts individuals without valid gas connections who previously relied on unauthorized sources for refills.
Dinesh Pratap Singh and Santosh Ojha further stated that the BJP’s Ujjwala Scheme department is actively striving to ensure that all permanent residents in Delhi have legitimate gas connections.
