Delhi BJP President, Virendra Sachdeva, shared a contentious video involving the Leader of Opposition in the Delhi Assembly, Atishi, on social media. He openly dared Arvind Kejriwal, the National Convenor of the Aam Aadmi Party, to file a police complaint against him. Sachdeva, addressing a press conference, urged BJP workers to follow suit without fear of false accusations.
Sachdeva emphasized that BJP members in Delhi are not intimidated by the threat of baseless police complaints orchestrated by Kejriwal. The press conference, led by Delhi BJP Media Head Praveen Shankar Kapoor, highlighted the distancing of AAP MLAs from Atishi and internal discord within the party. State General Secretary Yogendra Chandolia, along with other party officials, were also present.
Referring to a video shared by Delhi Government Minister Kapil Mishra, Sachdeva pointed out Atishi’s controversial statement in the Assembly proceedings. He challenged Kejriwal and the Punjab government to take legal action against him and numerous BJP workers who shared the video. Despite Atishi’s absence during Assembly sessions, an FIR was filed in Punjab at Kejriwal’s behest.
Sachdeva criticized Kejriwal for allegedly manipulating the Punjab Police to intimidate Delhi residents and BJP supporters. He asserted that the BJP remains undeterred by such tactics, suggesting Kejriwal’s government in Punjab is facing instability.
