Delhi Capitals co-owner Parth Jindal emotionally said goodbye to Kuldeep Yadav and welcomed Rishabh Pant back to the team after a trade with Lucknow Super Giants for the 2027 IPL season. Pant, a former player for Delhi, will return to the franchise where he began his IPL career, while Kuldeep Yadav will join Lucknow Super Giants after a successful tenure with Delhi Capitals.
Parth Jindal praised Kuldeep’s contributions to Delhi Capitals and expressed confidence in his future success with the new team. He acknowledged Kuldeep’s significant role in the team, having taken 72 wickets in 65 matches and becoming a key match-winner.
Jindal also expressed happiness in having Rishabh Pant back in the Delhi Capitals squad, hoping for Pant to regain his top form in familiar surroundings. Pant, a prominent figure for Delhi Capitals from 2016 to 2024, holds the record for the most appearances and captained the team in multiple matches.
Rishabh Pant’s return to Delhi Capitals follows a challenging period with Lucknow Super Giants, where the team struggled in the IPL. Pant’s move back to Delhi was confirmed by the IPL, with Pant rejoining for Rs 15 crore and Kuldeep moving to Lucknow Super Giants at his current salary of Rs 13.5 crore.
