Delhi Capitals have won the toss and chosen to bowl first against UP Warriorz in a crucial WPL 2026 match at the BCA Stadium in Kotambi. A victory will secure Delhi Capitals a spot in the playoffs with 8 points, joining Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Gujarat Giants. However, a loss could potentially eliminate them due to Mumbai Indians’ superior net run rate.

DC skipper Jemimah Rodrigues, after winning the toss, expressed confidence in her team’s motivation. She emphasized the importance of simplicity, control, and playing their best cricket to ensure success. Rodrigues credited her team and support staff for aiding her personal growth during the WPL 2026 season.

UP Warriorz captain Meg Lanning announced three changes to their playing eleven for the match. Shipra Giri, Deandra Dottin, and Charli Knott will replace Shweta Sehrawat, Amy Jones, and Chloe Tryon. Lanning highlighted the team’s focus on finishing matches strongly and the introduction of fresh energy to secure a positive result.

The playing XIs for the match are as follows:
Delhi Capitals: Shafali Verma, Lizelle Lee (wk), Laura Wolvaardt, Jemimah Rodrigues (captain), Marizanne Kapp, Chinelle Henry, Niki Prasad, Sneh Rana, Minnu Mani, Sree Charani, and Nandni Sharma
UP Warriorz: Meg Lanning (captain), Simran Shaikh, Harleen Deol, Deepti Sharma, Shipra Giri (wk), Deandra Dottin, Charli Knott, Sophie Ecclestone, Asha Sobhana Joy, Shikha Pandey, and Kranti Gaud
