Laura Wolvaardt scored 47 runs and Jemimah Rodrigues made an unbeaten 34 as Delhi Capitals defeated UP Warriorz by five wickets to clinch a playoffs berth in the 2026 Women’s Premier League (WPL) at the BCA Stadium in Kotambi. Marizanne Kapp’s three-wicket haul helped Delhi Capitals restrict UP Warriorz to 122/8 with a disciplined bowling performance.

Simran Shaikh contributed 22 runs, but Delhi Capitals’ bowlers, led by Kapp, Chinelle Henry, and Sree Charani, maintained pressure by taking wickets at regular intervals. Despite a late scare during their chase of 123, Jemimah’s composed 34 not out guided Delhi Capitals to a tense victory.

UP Warriorz struggled to build partnerships in their innings, managing only 122/8. Delhi Capitals will now face Gujarat Giants in the Eliminator match, while UP Warriorz and defending champions Mumbai Indians exit the competition.

Chinelle Henry struck early by dismissing UP Warriorz skipper Meg Lanning for a duck. Despite brief resistance from Deepti Sharma and Charli Knott, UP Warriorz faltered as Marizanne Kapp and others picked crucial wickets at key moments.

Delhi Capitals’ chase had its shaky moments, but Laura Wolvaardt’s innings and Jemimah’s calm approach ensured their victory. Shafali’s contribution and support from Niki Prasad were vital in guiding Delhi Capitals to the playoffs.
