Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta participated in the National Convention of Women Thought Leaders, ‘Bharati – Nari to Narayani,’ at Vigyan Bhawan. She highlighted the increasing influence of women in shaping the country’s future and encouraged them to explore opportunities in all fields. Gupta, speaking on the occasion of International Women’s Day, underscored the significance of acknowledging women’s contributions and empowering them to fulfill their aspirations.
Highlighting the sacrifices made by mothers in their daily lives, Gupta noted how many women prioritize their families over themselves. She emphasized the need for women to pursue leadership roles and professional success, expressing confidence in their ability to excel in diverse fields. Gupta urged mothers to ensure that the next generation of girls receives better opportunities and the freedom to make their own choices.
The Chief Minister also discussed various initiatives aimed at empowering women, such as opening bank accounts, providing Mudra loans, and granting houses in women’s names. She stressed the importance of creating a safe and supportive environment for working women, mentioning steps taken by the government to eliminate restrictive regulations. The convention gathered women leaders, professionals, and thinkers from across the country to deliberate on empowerment, leadership, and opportunities for women in different sectors.
