Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta visited North-West Delhi to share the government’s progress report for its initial year, pledging significant development in villages over the next four years. She emphasized that the groundwork for ‘Viksit Delhi’ has been established in the first year, with a commitment to a complete transformation in the coming years. Gupta assured residents that the city’s advancement is now tangible on the ground, moving away from mere advertisements.

Addressing the North-West Delhi constituents, Gupta criticized past administrations for neglecting the region. She highlighted the BJP-led government’s efforts over the past year towards development, focusing on uplifting the underprivileged through the motto of “Antyodaya to Gramodaya” to empower rural communities. Gupta expressed a personal connection to rural areas like Mundka, Bawana, Narela, Kirari, and Sultanpur Majra, underscoring her dedication to their well-being.

Describing her tenure as a transition “from distress to transformation,” Gupta noted the rapid expansion of basic infrastructure, roads, water supply, and sewerage across the region. She mentioned the swift progress of new projects aimed at enhancing education and healthcare accessibility. The inauguration of development projects worth Rs 264 crore in the Mundka Assembly constituency was highlighted as a significant milestone for the area.

Gupta reiterated her government’s commitment to prioritizing people over party affiliations and emphasized a nationalistic approach under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Inspired by the ideologies of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya and Nana Deshmukh, she vowed to ensure equitable opportunities for rural Delhi. Expressing gratitude for the community’s support, Gupta attributed the progress to the collective strength of every vote cast.
