Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta commended the Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) strong performance in the recent Assembly elections, especially in West Bengal and Assam. She described the outcome as a validation of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s welfare-oriented policies. Gupta lauded PM Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, and BJP President Nitin Nabin for the “historic mandate” achieved in the elections.
The Chief Minister highlighted that the developmental agenda of the central government would now extend to benefit West Bengal, propelling the state towards rapid progress akin to Delhi. Celebrating the victory at the Delhi Secretariat with her Cabinet members, the occasion was marked by a jovial exchange of traditional Bengali snacks like ‘jhalmuri’ and ‘rasgulla’. Gupta expressed optimism that people nationwide would continue to support development, stability, and effective governance in the future.
She emphasized that the election outcome signifies more than just a political triumph, indicating a broader shift in public sentiment. According to Gupta, voters have moved past mere rhetoric and divisive narratives, opting instead for concrete development, transparency, and results-driven governance. She credited Prime Minister Modi’s leadership for translating the vision of ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas’ into tangible improvements across states and communities.
