A Delhi court has ordered seven foreign nationals, including six Ukrainians and one American, to 30 days of judicial custody for allegedly providing terror training in Myanmar. The National Investigation Agency (NIA) is investigating the case, with the accused arrested in connection to an international network that trained insurgent groups along the India-Myanmar border. The NIA has alleged that the accused facilitated the procurement and movement of weapons, drones, and electronic jamming equipment from Europe for these training activities.

The individuals were apprehended from various locations in India, such as Delhi, Lucknow, and Kolkata, after entering the country on tourist visas and then crossing illegally into Myanmar via the northeastern region. Authorities are conducting further investigations to unravel the complete scope of the purported conspiracy and identify all individuals associated with the network. The seven accused consist of Ukrainian nationals Petro Hubra, Taras Slyviak, Ivan Sukmanovskyi, Marian Stefankiv, Maksym Honcharuk, and Viktor Kaminskyi, along with American national VanDyke.

This case is part of a broader NIA inquiry into an alleged international network that includes foreign mercenaries operating in India’s northeastern region. The anti-terror agency is actively probing to uncover the larger network, including potential local collaborators and international connections. The court has granted the NIA’s request to conduct future proceedings at its headquarters due to security concerns, with the accused to be presented before the presiding judge during hearings.
