In response to the improving air quality in Delhi, the CAQM Sub-Committee decided to end Stage-I actions of the GRAP across the NCR with immediate effect. The city’s average AQI dropped from 175 to 88 due to rain and favorable weather conditions.
The Sub-Committee had activated Stage-I of the GRAP when Delhi’s AQI showed an upward trend. To maintain the improved air quality, all NCR agencies must adhere to the directives issued by the Commission and other environmental bodies.
Efforts are underway to ensure compliance with regulations and guidelines to combat air pollution in the NCR. The Sub-Committee will monitor the air quality closely and make further decisions based on the situation and forecasts.
