Delhi Urban Development Minister Ashish Sood visited the family of the youth who tragically died in the Janakpuri ditch incident. Minister Sood expressed deep condolences, calling the incident extremely painful and a matter of suspected administrative negligence. He assured the family of full support and justice, emphasizing the government’s commitment to a thorough investigation and strict action against any negligence.
Minister Sood highlighted the government’s priority of citizen safety and vowed to strengthen monitoring mechanisms to prevent similar incidents. He stated that necessary reforms will be introduced to ensure no compromise on citizen life and safety. The Minister’s visit coincided with the arrest of a second accused, Yogesh, who was allegedly present at the site but failed to act during the incident. The first accused, sub-contractor Rajesh, has been remanded to police custody.
