The India Meteorological Department (IMD) predicts rain with thunder and lightning in Delhi, Noida, and Ghaziabad on Tuesday. Gusty winds are also expected, following a drop in temperatures due to recent rainfall. Tuesday morning saw a maximum temperature of 33 degrees Celsius and a minimum of 19 degrees Celsius, with thunderstorms and rain anticipated throughout the day.
Temperatures are set to rise slightly on May 6, reaching a maximum of 36 degrees Celsius and a minimum of 21 degrees Celsius. The day is expected to be partly cloudy with a chance of lightning. Looking ahead, temperatures may hover around 37/24 degrees Celsius on May 7 and increase to 38/23 degrees Celsius on May 8. By May 9 and 10, the maximum temperature could reach 39 degrees Celsius, with clear skies expected.
Recent rainfall has notably improved air quality in the Delhi-NCR region. Several areas in Delhi now fall under the “Good” and “Satisfactory” categories in the Air Quality Index (AQI), with levels ranging from 51 to 68. Noida and Ghaziabad have also reported enhanced air quality, with AQI levels ranging from 46 to 100. Experts suggest that continued rainfall and strong winds will help maintain pollution levels in check.
