The Delhi Police have apprehended a self-proclaimed “baba” regarding the puzzling demise of three individuals discovered in a locked car near the Peeragarhi flyover on the outskirts of the national capital. The accused, known as Kamaruddin, also referred to as a ‘maulana’ and an occult practitioner, has been charged with murder, marking a significant breakthrough in a case initially thought to be a suicide. DCP, Outer District, Sachin Sharma, mentioned that investigations are ongoing to reconstruct the events leading to the incident.
Police officials disclosed that the victims, Randhir, Shiv Naresh Singh, and Laxmi Devi, were found lifeless inside a stationary car, with Randhir in the driver’s seat and the others in the rear seats. The car was locked from the inside when discovered near the Peeragarhi flyover. Kamaruddin had been in communication with the victims for about a year, as per police statements, with CCTV footage showing him seated in the front passenger seat of the vehicle earlier on the day of the occurrence.
Authorities are currently questioning the accused to unravel the precise sequence of events and the motive behind the fatalities. Collaborations with other agencies are in progress to gather additional leads in the investigation. Further updates are anticipated as the inquiry advances.
