Delhi Police have cracked down on an organized e-commerce fraud syndicate through ‘Operation Cy Hawk’. The syndicate was involved in deceiving vendors by manipulating online delivery and logistics systems. Four individuals, including three insiders and one receiver of stolen goods, have been apprehended. Police have recovered artificial jewelry valued at around Rs 6.5 lakh.
A complaint was lodged by Wercatalist Pvt. Ltd., a logistics partner handling Flipkart consignments, after discovering irregularities in high-value jewelry deliveries. An internal audit at their warehouse in Okhla Phase-II exposed tampered or empty jewelry consignments. Subsequently, FIR No. 326/2026 was filed at the Okhla Industrial Area Police Station, initiating a thorough investigation.
The accused, identified as Arpit Kashyap and Akash Rathore, along with tempo driver Mohit Kumar, misused their access to vendor portals and parcel systems. They allegedly manipulated jewelry pickup orders, collected genuine consignments, removed valuable items, and repackaged the parcels to deceive the system. The stolen jewelry was sold at discounted rates to Anmol alias Anmol Poddar, who acquired the items without proper verification.
Utilizing a mix of technical surveillance, digital forensics, and ground intelligence, the investigative team uncovered a criminal conspiracy. By analyzing vendor portal activities, order IDs, and mobile records, a consistent pattern of order creation, cancellation, and tampered deliveries was established. Police have seized artificial silver jewelry worth Rs 6.5 lakh and are currently verifying the recovered items against vendor invoices.
Further investigations and efforts to recover more stolen goods are ongoing as the police delve into the backgrounds of the accused.
