In a crackdown on the illegal sale of banned Chinese Manjha, Delhi Police apprehended three individuals and seized 34 rolls from them. The operation, led by the Bhajanpura police, was based on actionable intelligence received.

The arrested suspects, identified as Vinit (21), Himanshu (26), and Deepanshu (18), residents of Kartar Nagar in Delhi, were caught red-handed at Yamuna Vihar Metro Station. Acting on specific information, the police intercepted the illicit supply of the prohibited Chinese Manjha.

An animal rights activist, disguised as a customer, helped expose the network by alerting the police through the ‘112’ emergency helpline. The activist, working with the police, successfully trapped the suppliers during a pre-arranged deal at the metro station.

Complainant Gaurav Gupta, an Animal Welfare Officer for People for Animals (PFA), played a crucial role in the operation. He posed as a decoy customer, leading to the arrest of the accused who were in possession of the banned Chinese Manjha. The suspects were charged under relevant sections of the law for their illegal activities.
