In a significant move against street crime, Delhi Police have apprehended three individuals, including a receiver of stolen goods, involved in a series of mobile snatching and vehicle thefts. The operation, conducted by the East District Police, resulted in the resolution of 14 criminal cases and the recovery of stolen mobile phones, motorcycles, and scooters.

The successful crackdown was a result of the efforts of a team from the Pandav Nagar police station, who identified and apprehended the active gang responsible for multiple incidents of mobile snatching and vehicle theft. The operation, carried out during picket checking, led to the arrest of two active snatchers and one receiver of stolen property, aiding in the recovery of stolen items and the resolution of criminal cases.

Under a sustained initiative to combat street crime, the crackdown involved intensified patrolling, surveillance, and intelligence gathering in vulnerable areas. The dedicated team, led by Inspector Yogender Meena and supervised by ACP Amandeep Kaur, played a crucial role in the operation.

Further investigation following the arrests revealed the criminal backgrounds of the accused. One of them, Manjeet, has a history of 35 prior cases, including serious offenses like murder and robbery. The police are currently conducting additional investigations to identify more victims and dismantle the gang’s network.
