Veteran Congress leader Digvijaya Singh expressed worry about Daly College, Indore, being frequently utilized for political and ideological events. He highlighted connections to the Bharatiya Janata Party and Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, terming this trend as compromising the institution’s neutrality.

Singh emphasized that the repeated hosting of partisan programs at Daly College undermines its integrity. He cited instances from September 2025, October 2025, and February 2026, along with an upcoming event in April 2026, indicating a consistent pattern.

The former Chief Minister cautioned against transforming the academic institution into a political platform, stressing the importance of maintaining its independent identity. Singh urged the Board of Governors to clarify the approvals and policies governing external use of the campus for political activities.

Singh underscored the need to preserve Daly College’s legacy and reputation by preventing political influence and ensuring accountability for any lapses.
