Actor-singer Diljit Dosanjh has responded to the removal of his film ‘Satluj’ from ZEE5 in India within a day. Diljit expressed gratitude to fans during an Instagram live session, emphasizing the permanence of online content and encouraging sharing of the movie.
Dosanjh acknowledged the unexpected ban on ‘Satluj’ and praised the audience for discussing Jaswant Singh Khalra, the film’s subject. He expressed relief that the film reached a wide audience without prior promotion, stating that its release was the best approach.
The movie, directed by Honey Trehan, focuses on human rights activist Jaswant Singh Khalra and premiered on ZEE5 as ‘Satluj.’ Despite being abruptly removed from the platform, ZEE5 assured viewers of efforts to restore access to the film promptly.
Director Honey Trehan, in response to the situation, shared ZEE5’s statement on social media, expressing optimism. ‘Satluj’ features Diljit Dosanjh in the lead role of Khalra, with a storyline revolving around his investigations into unlawful cremations in Punjab.
